Hmmmm...Microsoft decided to retire MSN web messenger~

Just my luck! It just had to happen when I actually 1) have the time and 2) need to discuss a few things with friends in different time zones...*not in the position to make long-distance phone calls...

I need to either figure out how to use the new live version or download MSN~

Great...just another chance to showcase the lack of cooperation between technology and me ^^"

I got home last night…2 weeks ahead of schedule *not exactly happy about that~ As much as I love my parents, the place I currently have to call “home” is one that tortured me for two years through high school and not exactly full of happy memories…

In any case, I will hold back on the sob stories and talk about something happier: Montreal Fashion & Design Festival (aka. Festival Mode & Design)!

In addition to all the fashion shows (which will be elaborated in a later post with pics), the special stores events give off a feel of totally VIP treatment. Think rolled-out carpet, velvet ropes, cocktails, food plates going around, cameras flashing everywhere, great customer service, and free gifts with every purchase.

Of course free stuff is plentiful in general at the festival. Just walking down the length of the tents and you would end up with a collection of stuff like this (no purchase necessary):

As much as I appreciate free make-up, I already have a drawer that’s full of brand-new unused cosmetic products that will probably never see the light of day. Aside from lip gloss, I rarely use other forms of make-up; YET every time I go into a department store, I always get handed samples, every time I go cosmetic shopping with friends, I end up with their gift samples, and I always get make-up as gifts. I wonder if that’s all hinting I should use more make-up? Who knows?

Home Sweet Home? Time to unpack...

Recently I have gotten into a phase of being slightly obsessed with nail art in general...it amazes me that I have acquired 20+ new bottles of polish and countless decor since the start of the year~ That makes it almost one polish/day on average!

IT SNOWED!!!

Lalalalala...my new laptop is FINALLY set-up and connected to the internet! It only took me about 10 hours *dies* I'm definitely computer illiterate~

Well, technically there are still software I have to install/un-install, but...!

In all the happiness, I wish I could just forget about how much I dread my credit card bill at the end of the month >_<"

Wow, can't believe it's been almost a week since I was last online (looking through courses and university updates don't count) ^^" If I haven't mention this before, I will do it now: I can't access LJ from my home computers, so I only get to check my f-list and journal on library computers~

Anyways, I just found out that there's a new Chinese live action adaptation of the Prince of Tennis~ *yes I'm a fan* ^^" I hope it doesn't disappoint...since from past experiences (personal opinion), the Japanese version was always better (Hana-Kimi JPN vs Hana-Kimi Taiwan, Hana Yori Dango vs Meteor Garden, etc.). On a side note: most of the cast are past contestants from a very popular idol show called "My Hero" (the actual title doesn't sound as cheesy in Chinese, pinyi is: Jia You Hao Nan Er) in China, so they are all pretty much newcomers to showbiz~

I need to watch this soon~ This is one of those many reasons why I'm so behind on making check lists for university~

Uh...I have a headache that just wouldn't disappear~ It's this constant dull pain on the left side of my head that just surfaces once every few hours and makes me want to go back to bed in the middle of the day X_X" Any advice on getting rid of it? Advil and Tylenol don't seem to work...and I don't want to sport a constant headache when I leave for my 3-day vacation in Boston in two days~

After almost three years of debating and procrastination, I finally decided to start working on Lacus Clyne's pink gravity defying dress from Gundam Seed Destiny *for those who don't know the series, see image Here* (ignore that fact that it's a figure --> that's the only full body reference I could find)~ I just bought $50 worth of pink fabric (uh...I hate pink...and the lady at JoAnn's gave me really wierd looks) and I'm confident about creating the pattern~ So my only concern is...well...how do I keep the dress up? I have never worn any strapless clothing and I plan to modify the top of the dress to cover a little more. Should I make it really tight so it digs into my skin? Or is there some other trick to this? I don't want to use clear strapes or any kind of double-tape (since the adhesive will damage the back of the fabric)...any ideas? I would hate for a costume malfunction to happen X_X"

Back from Anime North!

My conclusions:

- I'm flying next year --> 24 hours back and forth by bus...hmm...it was worth it, but still a pain~
- Wearing 3" heels for over 12 hours really messes up my ankles and feet *it was bleeding by Sunday morning*
- Either rent a car or reserve a closer hotel --> I didn't like the 15-20 minute hike uphill from my hotel to the convention center every day
- I don't see how wrestling had any relevance to anime
- Photoshoots are fun!
- Great talent in the Artist Alley
- I wish certain people would shower more/use deodorant ^^" This is the only time when my allergies was actually useful~
- Note to self: always stay with friends --> for some reason, everytime I wonder around the convention center by myself, I get hit on by random creepy guys with bad pick-up lines X_X"

OMG, Vampire Knight is going to be animated! *is excited*

So…after two weeks, I finally finished watching the C-drama series "Five Star Hotel" and it is probably one of the better drama series I have watched this year ^^ For some reason, I kept thinking of it as “Modern Cinderella – Boy Edition”. Plus the original novel was written by one of my favorite authors ever, Hai Yan~

Somehow I never noticed that there was a giant apple tree outside my yard, that is, until today, when one dropped on my head! Don't ever underestimate an apple, no matter how small it is, it's causing me alot of pain x_x" Who knew apples could be so hurtful?

My head hurts...

I finally got my credit card! *does happy dance* Who knew such a small piece of plastic can make me so happy?
