Look! Look! My C.C. cosplay got into Cosmode 26 ^^"



Too bad I'm a tiny dot~

Finally finished sorting the photos from the photoshoot I did with the wonderful Jirou!!! This is one of those cosplays I will probably wear to one con. and then retire permanently to the back of my closet...so I'm not spending money on getting a wig ^^" So on to the photos from my Li Xingke cosplay from Code Geass R2!

OMG! I want to make Lelouch's new outfit so badly! *goes off to draft pattern* It's so sparkly and I could already imagine all the narcissistic poses I could do ^^" On the other hand...Suzaku's new outfit = blah, blah, and more blah~

This is probably my least favorite cosplay that I have ever made, therefore, probably never making it onto my cosplay.com/ACP accounts >_<" There was so much procrastination involved that I finally finished it two years after I initially bought the materials ^^" My Takuto Kira (from Full Moon wo Sagashite) was originally planned to pair with devira's Meroko Yui, but things didn't work out as planned, but anyways...~

I'm horrible at binding and was way too lazy to make the pants and get proper extensions for the bangs (which now looks like I'm wearing a mop ^^")...but oh well ^^ Now I can finally bury it in the back of my closet without feeling too bad about it~

Since I have spammed my cosplay.com with my C.C. (default) photos, it's time to make a post about it on my LJ~

Once again, it's 100% handsewn and all the metal pieces were hand carved and soldered from a large piece of nickel.

Next Code Geass cosplay: Xingke!

Uh...I have a headache that just wouldn't disappear~ It's this constant dull pain on the left side of my head that just surfaces once every few hours and makes me want to go back to bed in the middle of the day X_X" Any advice on getting rid of it? Advil and Tylenol don't seem to work...and I don't want to sport a constant headache when I leave for my 3-day vacation in Boston in two days~

After almost three years of debating and procrastination, I finally decided to start working on Lacus Clyne's pink gravity defying dress from Gundam Seed Destiny *for those who don't know the series, see image Here* (ignore that fact that it's a figure --> that's the only full body reference I could find)~ I just bought $50 worth of pink fabric (uh...I hate pink...and the lady at JoAnn's gave me really wierd looks) and I'm confident about creating the pattern~ So my only concern is...well...how do I keep the dress up? I have never worn any strapless clothing and I plan to modify the top of the dress to cover a little more. Should I make it really tight so it digs into my skin? Or is there some other trick to this? I don't want to use clear strapes or any kind of double-tape (since the adhesive will damage the back of the fabric)...any ideas? I would hate for a costume malfunction to happen X_X"

This would have been my proudest work (as far as metal work/jewelry is concerned) to date, but the final glaze I used left the surface rather rough and unsightly X_X” Oh well, it’s done, a Millennium Puzzle that took two 6”x12” brass sheet, endless amount of solder, ten broken saw blades, wire, paint, and tears to finish~ I always wanted to make one *Yu-gi-oh was a part of my distant childhood*~

It’s done! It’s done! While technically it’s 95% completed, but I have a feeling that I would never get around to making the book covers…so this is about as close to completion as I would ever get unless I finally do something about my love of procrastination ^^

First, big thank yous to my two photographers: emmaleah17 (who just got LJ!) and Little Q! Poor Emmaleah ended up with a sunburn and Little Q (who has a strong aversion to anything with cheese) did not take too well to the Pizza Hut box, but they still came through for me *hugs* Getting the Pizza Hut box was extremely awkward! The guy working at the counter just stared for at least a minute or so before grumbling something about what are teenagers up to these days X_X” And I never had such trouble while looking for photoshoot locations! We went to at least 5-6 because for some reason, at every single one we went to, there was always a couple making-out there ^^” We didn’t want to disturb their romance XD

The costume is 100% handsewn (still don’t have a sewing machine yet) X_X” I made all the patterns from scratch and was so glad that the final product fits! All the belt buckles (8 including 3 in the back) were hand cut from a large piece of brass, soldered on the loops, and painted to match the trim and button color. After this costume, forget everything horrible I have ever said about vinyl! I love working with vinyl! I can’t believe I haven’t used it until now…looks are so deceiving~

I want to make the C.C. in the Clamp illustration outfit shown in the endings, guess I will finish up the white default version from the first season and then move on to that one ^^

This is probably my last post of 2007 ^^ Anyways, presenting my Yuki Cross (Vampire Night) cosplay photos~ The test shoot a few months back had such horrible lighting that I decided to shoot again XP And this time, I finally took the time to make the arm band...I discover that fabric paint hates me ^^" Anyways, the major dilemma was whether to shoot inside (bad lighting) or outside (low temperature and bad weather)...it was cold...really, really cold...
